Our full website is being built. Here is what we are building it for.
Who we are
Ability Beyond Vision Limited is a new organisation based in Bolton, working with and for blind and partially sighted people. We are a company registered in England and Wales, incorporated in June 2026.
What we do
- Awareness sessions about sight loss for workplaces, schools and community groups.
- Events designed to be accessible from the outset, not adapted afterwards.
- Practical support and signposting for blind and partially sighted people, and for the people around them.
Accessibility
Accessibility is the point of this organisation, so it is the point of this website too. Every page carries the same controls, found under Accessibility settings at the top of the screen: five colour schemes including high contrast and yellow on black, a text size slider up to 200 per cent, and a page zoom slider up to 200 per cent. Your choices are remembered on this device.
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA: semantic HTML, full keyboard operation, visible focus indicators, described images, and respect for your system theme and reduced-motion preference. It works without JavaScript, and without CSS. If anything here gets in your way, we want to know so we can fix it.
The rest of the site
The pages below are being written and are not open to the public yet. If you follow one you will be asked to sign in, and unless you are on our team you will not get in — that is deliberate, not a fault.
- About us — our mission, values and governance.
- News — what we are doing and what we have learned.
- Stories — in the words of blind and partially sighted people.
- Our partners — who we work with, and on what terms.
- Donate — not open yet.
- Trust centre — governance, money, data, safeguarding and accessibility.
