Our partners
DRAFT — placeholder copy, not yet approved. No organisation named or implied below has agreed to anything. Real partners must confirm in writing before they appear here.
We are small, so we work with people who are already good at things we are not. This page lists who they are and exactly what each partnership involves — including whether money changes hands.
Current partners
We have no confirmed partners to announce yet. When we do, each one will appear here in the format below, and will stay listed for as long as the partnership runs.
| Partner | What we do together | Money involved | Since |
|---|---|---|---|
| Example community venue | Hosts our accessible events and takes part in access reviews. | None. Room provided free of charge. | Example date |
| Example employer | Buys awareness sessions for staff and helps us test materials. | Paid work at our published day rate. | Example date |
How we choose partners
A partnership has to be good for blind and partially sighted people first. Before we agree to one, we check that:
- it makes something more accessible, or reaches people we could not reach alone;
- no partner gets to decide what we say publicly, ever;
- anything we say about them is true and checkable, and they say nothing about us we have not agreed;
- their own accessibility is either good, or they are willing to work on it with us;
- we can declare the whole arrangement, including money, on this page.
What we will not accept
We turn down partnerships that use blind and partially sighted people as marketing, that require us to stay quiet about a barrier, or that come with conditions on who we support. If we ever turn one down for a reason the public should know about, we will say so in our news.
Work with us
If your organisation wants awareness sessions, an access review, or a genuine long-term partnership, email hello@abilitybeyondvision.org.uk. Tell us what you want to change and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right people for it.
